Virtual PE and Virtual Health (Asynchronous)
Update: The virtual Health and PE classes are full as of 5/29/2026.
Students may choose to complete the high school requirement for Health or Physical Education through an asynchronous online course offered via Novi Virtual. This format allows students to complete coursework independently while meeting weekly deadlines.
Course Format
This course is delivered fully online through Schoology. Students do not attend daily in-person classes. Work may be completed on the student’s own schedule; however, deadlines are strictly enforced.
Weekly Expectations
Students are expected to log in daily to review and complete assigned work.
- All assignments for the week must be submitted by Wednesday.
- After Wednesday, the previous week’s assignments will close and will not be accepted or graded.
- Students who elect this course should be independent learners who are able to stay on top of deadlines as required.
Teacher Support
Students will have access to a Novi instructor for support throughout the course. Communication will take place through Schoology and Novi email, and Zoom meetings may be scheduled if additional support is needed.
Time Commitment
Students should expect to spend approximately 1–2 hours per day completing coursework in order to stay on pace.
Technology Requirements
Students must have regular access to a computer or Chromebook and reliable internet in order to participate in the course.
Important Consideration
Virtual learning is not appropriate for all students. This course is best suited for students who are self-motivated, organized, and able to manage their time independently.
Additional course information and expectations will be provided at the start of the course.
Enrollment for virtual courses follows the same process as in-person summer school classes.
